What You'd Be Responsible For Cultivate and Secure Major Gifts:
Build and manage a portfolio of prospective donors, focusing on major gift opportunities to advance BYU Athletics. Design and execute innovative development activities to enhance donor retention, reactivation, acquisition, and growth. Meet or exceed annual fundraising goals through personalized outreach and effective donor engagement. Network extensively with current donors and influential leaders in the professional, business, and civic communities. Leverage relationships within the Cougar Club membership base to identify and engage new donors.
Engage and Assist Donors:
Provide exceptional service to current donors, ensuring their ongoing connection to and satisfaction with BYU Athletics. Support Cougar Club memberships, assisting with ticket renewals, attending events, and addressing donor needs. Facilitate meaningful interactions between donors, administrators, coaches, and student-athletes to deepen relationships and demonstrate the impact of donor contributions. Guide donors in fulfilling their planned giving interests and desires, aligning their philanthropic goals with BYU Athletics' priorities.
Host and Represent:
Host prospective and current donors at events, games, and personal meetings to create memorable, impactful experiences. Serve as a key ambassador for BYU Athletics, representing the program's values, vision, and achievements to stakeholders. What Qualifies You to Apply? Required A firm commitment to the mission of BYU Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, public relations, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education/experience. All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend, which may be verified during the application process.
Preferred:
5 years of proven experience in fundraising, development, or a related field, with a demonstrated ability to cultivate and close major gifts. Background in athletics as a student-athlete, coach, and/or administrator Proven fundraising skills within a university athletic department, including a demonstrated ability to successfully solicit and secure major gifts What we offer in return: In addition to our competitive pay structure, this position comes with fantastic benefits , including: 401k.
