Job Description

Essential Functions:
Windsor Middle/High School is seeking a full-time planning room support staff member to joinour community. This position includes supervising lunch and after school detentions as well as inschool suspensions. In addition to traditional detention, this role focuses on repairing harm,identifying root causes of behavior, and supporting students with the education andsocial-emotional skills they need to thrive. The ideal candidate will be a strong, collaborative teammember who is committed to restorative practices and problem solving.
Qualifications:
High School DiplomaExperience working with youth
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage in school suspension, lunch, and after school detentions Assist in problem solving and restorative practices Support academic instruction and situation specific learning Support implementation of technology policies and procedures Communicate with families by phone and email Contribute to a system of restorative practices across grade levels
Desirable Skills:
Empathy and understanding for the lived experiences of all students Emotional intelligence and the capacity to manage and de-escalate self and others Active listening to understand underlying issues Conflict mediation to navigate complex situations Cultural competency in diverse backgrounds and systemic challenges students may face Experience with trauma-informed approachesWe encourage women, people of the global majority, LGBTQIA+ individuals, people withdisabilities, foreign-born residents, older members of society, and individuals from diverse livedexperiences and backgrounds to apply.
