Social Studies Teacher Part Time/Temporary
QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess State of Michigan 6-12 Social Studies Certification (RX) Must be Highly Qualified
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Demonstration of a strong knowledge of subject area being taught Planning for and delivery of rigorous content Checking for and building of higher-level understanding in students Recognition of the diverse needs among students and commitment to differentiation in instructional approach in order to meet the needs of all students Maintenance of exceptional classroom management Efficient and effective use of instructional time Solicitation of high student engagement Establishment and maintenance of strong, appropriate relationships with students Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects and thematic units that help students see connections across subject area. Partner closely with your grade-level team to monitor the academic, social, and emotional growth of shared students. Work with your team to establish consistent expectations and routines, creating a predictable and supportive environment for students.
