Job Title:
Civil Engineering Technician Essential Skills Demonstrated experience or training in construction materials testing, including concrete, asphalt, soils, and masonry. MCA and ACI concrete certifications. Familiarity with MDOT-related testing and inspection requirements. Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly to job sites. Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment. Professionalism, integrity, and a positive attitude in field and office interactions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. Basic understanding of civil engineering or construction-related principles. Job Description This position offers an opportunity for a Civil Engineering Technician to support construction materials testing and inspection services across a wide range of residential, commercial, industrial, municipal, and transportation infrastructure projects. You will perform field and laboratory testing on materials such as concrete, asphalt, soils, and masonry to verify compliance with project specifications and quality standards. The role requires strong time management, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. You will represent the company with professionalism, integrity, and a positive attitude while delivering high-quality work in both field and office settings. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norton Shores, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00- $30.
