Orange Boulevard, Loxahatchee 36329 Plans, provides, and supervises the delivery of library services to children, teens, parents, and caregivers. Supervises one professional and two paraprofessional employees; prepares and presents children's classes and other activities for children and teens in person and virtually. Provides collection development, research, readers' advisory services, and outreach to local schools and the community; participates in long-range planning and committee work. Oversees the Summer Reading Program and building with regard to the health and safety of staff and members as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires qualified applicants to possess the following: A Master's Degree in Library Science (MLS) accredited by the American Library Association (ALA); minimum of one (1) year of professional library experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred qualifications include: Experience supervising the work of others, Experience working in public library research or collection development, Experience working with children/teens/parents/caregivers, Experience planning activities for children/teens, Experience overseeing a library reading program, and Bi/trilingual (English/Spanish/Creole).
