Librarian, Reference Law Cleveland State University - 4.2 Cleveland, OH Job Details Part-time 19 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description Provides high-quality legal and specialized research and reference services to students and faculty of the College of Law, as well as university stakeholders, members of the legal community, and the public. Conducts reference interviews, bibliographic research, legal research, and information and content analysis to help users effectively identify and evaluate legal information. Participates in scheduled reference desk coverage, including evening and general reference rotations, to ensure consistent access to research assistance. Develops, maintains, and monitors online research guides and other web-based resources for consistency, accessibility, and usefulness. Contributes research and content to the Library blog and social media and develops and updates instructional materials for the Legal Research Seminar series. Assists with collection development and may participate in technical services activities that support access to and organization of library resources. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree, in library and information science (MLIS), information management, or related field from an ALA-accredited institution or Juris Doctorate. Preferred Qualifications Experience in conducting legal research and reference services. Experience creating research guides in web-based research guides platform. Experience conducting reference interviews. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies. Ability to accept and implement constructive feedback. Effective written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and decision-making abilities. Strong interpersonal skills and have a "Customer Focus" attitude and delivery. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint. Requisition Number
