Applied General Education Instructor IBMC College - 3.6 Fort Collins, CO Job Details Part-time $20 - $24 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications Bachelor's degree Full Job Description Applied General Education Instructor IBMC College We are currently seeking an Applied General Education Instructor for our Fort Collins , CO Campus . This instructor will mainly be instructing our American Government and Human Resources classes. We require a minimum of a bachelor's degree with 15 credit hours in the discipline or related field. No prior teaching experience is necessary.
Job Summary :
The Instructor is responsible for delivering an established curriculum to students in a professional and proficient manner. This position also assigns and grades assignments, inputs attendance records, and ensures an effective learning environment through classroom management.
Essential Duties :
Prepare for and instruct established and approved curriculum and lesson plans to students in a professional manner Answer all student questions as they arise to ensure student understanding and completion of material Ensure students are aware of safety policies and monitor for correct procedures Maintain professionalism within the classroom and coach students on their professionalism and any issues affecting their education Manage and resolve student issues in the classroom as necessary Manage all classroom activity including lecturing, student assistance, and lab instruction Ensure students are attending class and arriving on time, and resolve attendance issues as needed Record student attendance, grades, outside work, and all student interactions in student files and on database in a timely manner Attend periodic trainings to maintain currency in the field and continual improvement of personal teaching strategies Setup lab area for daily instructional activities including equipment setup Work with Program Supervisor to initiate student support plans, and warnings as needed Hours include both instructional and outside administrative time. This position will instruct day or evening classes as required. Classes typically run from 9am to 2pm or 5pm to 10pm.
Minimum Qualifications :
Education :
Bachelor's degree, with at least 15 credit hours in related subject areas. Related areas would include a combination of any American Government/History and Human Resources. If you are unsure if you qualify, call us!
