Job Description

Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic high school environment as a Math Teacher, supporting students' learning journeys during the upcoming academic year. This full-time contract opportunity calls for passionate, experienced educators who can ignite curiosity and confidence in math. The assignment runs from August 3, 2026, through May 27, 2027, offering 35 hours per week (Monday through Friday, 7 hours daily with a 30-minute unpaid lunch, following the school calendar). School location assignments and final caseload specifics will be determined as the year approaches, so adaptability is appreciated.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Louisiana Department of Education Certification in General Education Math—candidates must already possess an active, standard license (Temporary Authority to Teach not accepted) Demonstrated success teaching high school math students, creating engaging and accessible lessons Strong classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment for diverse learners Flexibility and readiness to support various schools within the district (assignments determined prior to the start date) Willingness to complete district-required credentialing, including drug screening and fingerprinting, in addition to our standard processes
Responsibilities:
