Job Description
SUMMARY:
Notre Dame Jr/Sr High School is seeking a dynamic and passionate Math Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching high school math courses, fostering students' mathematical understanding and appreciation. This position requires a strong commitment to the integration of faith and values into the curriculum and classroom environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement engaging and rigorous math curricula aligned with state standards and the school's mission.
- Teach Algebra II and Pre Calculus.
- Create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student growth and development.
- Use effective teaching methods and strategies to differentiate instruction and meet the diverse needs of all learners.
- Assess student learning through a variety of methods, including formative and summative assessments, projects, and presentations.
- Provide regular and constructive feedback to students and parents regarding academic progress.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student success.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current in math education pedagogy and content.
- Integrate Catholic values and teachings into the curriculum and classroom environment, demonstrating a commitment to the school's mission.
- Contribute to the mathematics department and the broader school community.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Master's degree in a related field.
- Valid teaching certification in Mathematics preferred.
- Experience teaching high school mathematics.
- Strong understanding of mathematical concepts and pedagogy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to create engaging and motivating learning experiences.
- Commitment to student well-being and character development.
- Understanding and appreciation of Catholic values and beliefs.
