$42,000-$60,000, based on experience Position Summary Saint Martin de Porres High School is seeking a dynamic, energetic, and self-driven High School Math Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The successful candidate will teach mathematics within an innovative college-preparatory and career-readiness environment. The position will primarily teach Statistics and Pre-Calculus , with a willingness to accept additional teaching assignments as needed. The ideal candidate will embrace a student-centered approach, collaborate effectively with colleagues, and use innovative, inquiry-based instructional strategies to support student achievement. Essential Responsibilities Teach Statistics and Pre-Calculus and accept additional assignments as needed. Embrace Saint Martin's Mission, Vision, and Guiding Principles, as well as the Cristo Rey Network Standards of Mission Effectiveness. Use a student-centered approach to education. Participate in professional learning teams that promote collaboration, peer review, and multidisciplinary lesson planning. Develop lesson plans in accordance with the school's innovative curriculum. Submit lesson plans weekly and unit plans quarterly. Model a work ethic characterized by diligence, persistence, and dedication. Remain flexible as the school continues to develop innovative educational policies, programs, and curriculum. Use formal and informal assessments to adjust instruction, support student learning, and track student progress. Support and uphold the school's mission and beliefs concerning student learning. Coordinate field trips for curricular and extracurricular activities. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians. Participate in Corporate Work Study Program and Admissions events as assigned. Contribute to the development of teaching policies, procedures, and methodologies. Education Requirements Master's degree preferred; candidates with a Bachelor's degree and appropriate experience will also be considered. Ohio licensure in Mathematics and Integrated Mathematics (9-12) preferred. Inquiry-minded approach to teaching and learning. Awareness of 21st-century skills and contemporary approaches to mathematics education. Experience Three or more years of teaching experience in an urban environment preferred.
