Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basisMinimum Qualifications:
A PhD in mathematics, statistics or mathematics education, or a master's degree in mathematics or a related field with completion of a PhD in mathematics, statistics or mathematics education by the end of the first year of the appointment. Candidates with a PhD in progress will be offered a Degree Completion Appointment as a Lecturer while completing the terminal degree. Upon completion of the degree, the faculty member shall be assigned the rank of Assistant Professor and issued a tenure track appointment at the beginning of the following academic year. If the applicant does not have a master's degree in mathematics or a related field, evidence of an earned PhD in mathematics, statistics or mathematics education is required. Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.Preferred Qualifications:
Evidence of excellent teaching and commitment to conducting scholarly research. Preference will be given to candidates with research or interest in mathematics education, particularly at the K-12 level, have at least three years teaching experience at the K-12 level, and possess a mathematics teaching license.
