Send job Job Details Company Job Details The Department of Neuroscience at Yale University seeks to hire new tenure-track faculty members with interests in molecular, cellular, systems, or cognitive neuroscience in health or disease. We are enthusiastic about candidates bridging traditional conceptual or methodological boundaries, and candidates linking experimental data with computational models from a variety of organisms. The successful candidates will be embedded in a richly collaborative community supporting intellectual creativity. The Department of Neuroscience at Yale realizes that the full potential of our research lies in the power that varied perspectives bring to the field. We seek to foster an environment where all members of our community are supported and empowered to push forward the frontiers of neuroscience. Emphasis will be placed on recruiting at the level of Assistant Professor, but appointments at Associate Professor level may be considered. The neuroscience community at Yale is dynamic and expanding, and includes the Kavli Institute for Neuroscience, the Wu Tsai Institute, the Program in Cellular Neuroscience, Neurodegeneration and Repair (CNNR) and the Ludwig Program for the Study of Neuroimmune Interactions in Dementia. The Interdepartmental Neuroscience Program provides robust Ph.D. training to a large group of students. The Department provides outstanding support to researchers via shared facilities such as microscopy and neurotechnology cores, and growing cores in iPSC biology and data science, as well as resources for nonhuman primate research. The Department resides in a space optimized for modern science and maximal interaction and collaboration. New faculty will be supported by a generous start-up package and ongoing salary support. Faculty are expected to develop a productive and innovative research program that will include the opportunity to participate in graduate and medical education. Candidates must hold a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree.
