About Kodely Kodely partners with schools to provide high-quality after-school enrichment programs for TK-8 students. Our programs include a wide range of subjects including STEM, coding, robotics, science, arts, music, sports, wellness, leadership, academic enrichment, and other hands-on learning experiences designed to engage students and support their growth. We are looking for passionate educators who can help ensure every Kodely program is safe, engaging, and successful. Position Overview Kodely is seeking a Bay Area Teacher Coordinator to support our after-school programs and instructors across school sites from San Francisco to San Jose . This is an in-person, hands-on role for a strong educator who can coach teachers, support school partnerships, maintain program quality, and step in to lead a class when needed. The ideal candidate is someone who understands excellent teaching practices, has strong classroom management skills, and can confidently support a variety of enrichment programs — not limited to STEM. This position is approximately 15 hours per week , primarily during weekday afternoons. Responsibilities Visit Kodely after-school programs across Bay Area school sites. Support, coach, and mentor after-school instructors. Conduct classroom observations and provide feedback to improve instruction. Ensure programs are engaging, organized, and student-centered. Step in as a substitute instructor when needed to lead classes and support students. Support a variety of enrichment programs including STEM, arts, sports, academic enrichment, and other student activities. Help instructors troubleshoot classroom challenges and provide real-time support. Assist with teacher onboarding, training, and professional development. Coordinate staffing needs and substitute coverage. Build strong relationships with school staff and site coordinators. Support program logistics, including moving and organizing materials, supplies, and equipment between locations. Monitor attendance, classroom quality, and overall program success. Qualifications Strong teaching experience required. Experience working with students in classrooms, after-school programs, camps, or enrichment settings. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Ability to coach and mentor other educators. Comfortable stepping into different classroom environments and teaching a variety of subjects. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required. Must have a personal vehicle and ability to travel throughout the Bay Area (San Francisco to San Jose). Ability to lift, carry, and move program materials and equipment. Ability to pass required background checks and compliance requirements.
Schedule Part-time:
approximately 15 hours per week Primarily weekday afternoons during after-school program hours In-person school visits required Flexible schedule based on program needs Compensation $35-$45/hour depending on experience Mileage reimbursement for approved travel Flexible part-time schedule Opportunity for additional hours as Kodely grows Ideal Candidate You are a strong educator who: Enjoys supporting and mentoring other teachers. Can confidently step into a classroom and lead students. Has excellent classroom management skills. Is adaptable and comfortable teaching different enrichment subjects. Enjoys being hands-on with students, teachers, schools, and program operations.
Pay:
$25.00 - $40.00 per hour
