Elementary School Students (K-5) Position Overview We are seeking a responsible, caring, and energetic After School Teacher to supervise and support elementary school-aged children during our after school program. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, can create a positive and structured environment, and is able to balance homework support with active play and engaging activities. The After School Teacher will help maintain a consistent daily routine, ensure student safety, support homework completion, supervise play and activities, and assist with cleaning and closing the program at the end of the day. Key Responsibilities Supervise elementary school students throughout the after school program. Follow established student dismissal and safety procedures. Safely receive students from their regular school-day dismissal and transition them into the after school program. Maintain a consistent and organized after school routine. Supervise and support students during homework time, encouraging students to complete assignments independently. Provide age-appropriate assistance and clarification with homework when needed. Organize and supervise indoor and outdoor play. Engage students in games, creative activities, reading, crafts, and other age-appropriate activities. Encourage positive social interactions, cooperation, and respectful behavior. Monitor student behavior and provide positive, constructive guidance. Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all students. Ensure students follow school and after school program rules. Assist with transitions between homework, snack, play, and other activities. Communicate any student concerns, incidents, or important information to the appropriate staff. Help maintain cleanliness and organization of classrooms and activity areas. Complete end-of-day cleanup and closing responsibilities. Ensure all students are safely dismissed to authorized parents/guardians or designated individuals according to school procedures. Follow all school policies, safety procedures, and childcare regulations. Qualifications Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred. Previous experience in an after school program, school, childcare, camp, or educational setting is a plus. Responsible, dependable, patient, and attentive. Able to actively supervise children and maintain a safe environment. Comfortable helping students with elementary-level homework. Able to engage children in play and age-appropriate activities. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Ability to follow established routines, procedures, and safety protocols. Must be able to maintain professionalism and appropriate boundaries when working with children. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred or willingness to obtain certification. Pay:

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 per week
