Compensation:
$60-$75 per class (depending on experience) About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable
STEM & STEAM
Instructor to lead after-school enrichment classes for elementary students in Sebastopol. This position includes two program tracks:
STEM:
Robotics Guide students through beginner-friendly robotics activities that introduce engineering, problem-solving, and technology concepts through hands-on building challenges.
STEAM:
Hands-On Activities & Experiments Lead engaging science experiments, engineering challenges, and creative STEAM projects that encourage curiosity, innovation, and critical thinking. This is a great opportunity for educators, STEM enthusiasts, college students, and enrichment instructors who enjoy making learning fun and interactive. Responsibilities Lead engaging STEM and STEAM enrichment classes for elementary students Facilitate hands-on robotics activities, experiments, and engineering challenges Create a positive, inclusive, and structured learning environment Encourage creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving Manage classroom behavior effectively and professionally Prepare materials and set up activities for each session Communicate regularly with program staff and site coordinators Submit brief after-class updates following each session Requirements Experience working with elementary-aged students Comfortable leading hands-on STEM, robotics, or science activities Strong classroom management and communication skills Energetic, dependable, and organized Must maintain clear, timely, and professional communication with the team Required to submit brief after-class reports for each session Ability to commit to the program schedule from August through December Preferred Qualifications Experience teaching robotics, STEM, STEAM, science, or enrichment programs Background in education, engineering, science, technology, or related fields Experience leading project-based learning activities Compensation & Schedule $60-$75 per class (based on experience) Thursdays 1.5-hour classes August 27 through Mid-December 2026 Consistent weekly schedule
Pay:
$37.00 - $40.00 per hour
