Job Description

This position will fulfill substitute needs during the school year for the Lower School. Facilitate the instructional process by serving as a teacher with specific responsibility for supervising students within the classroom and other assigned areas; delivering group and individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines; collaborating with other teachers, staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues. Experience Previous experience working with adolescents or in an educational setting.

Monitors and ensures the safety and well-being of students in various school settings.
Time Management:
Organizes and prioritizes tasks to maximize instructional time and adhere to schedules.
Curriculum Implementation:
Follows and executes provided lesson plans and curriculum guidelines accurately. Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands, finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the Academy's facilities.
