When Filled Community Consolidated School District 62 in Des Plaines, Illinois is seeking an 8th Grade Math Teacher at Chippewa Middle School to cover a leave of absence from approximately August 20, 2026 - November 20, 2026. The mission of District 62 is to cultivate an inclusive, innovative learning environment that inspires students to explore robust academics, advance their potential and to be compassionate lifelong learners.
Qualifications:
1. Completion of a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university. 2.Current valid Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate endorsement. 3. Experience as a middle school teacher is preferred. 4.ESL endorsement is preferred.
District Information:
District 62 has approximately 4,800 students in grades preK-8 in 8 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 1 early learning center, and 1 year-round, K-8 school.
Compensation Information:
District 62 substitute teachers earn $165 per day if they hold an Illinois PEL and $155 per day if the hold a substitute license. Annual bonuses are given based on the number of days worked. This position does not include benefits.
