Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into an impactful contract role supporting students as a Paraprofessional in a thriving elementary school environment. This full-time position offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with students and collaborate closely with educators, fostering both academic and functional growth. Three positions are available, each tailored for a specific need: Providing 1:1 support to a 3rd-grade student in an instructional room, focusing on functional and academic development in a semi self-contained setting. Serving as a dedicated aide to a Kindergarten student, fostering learning while calmly addressing behavioral needs. Assisting as an Inclusion Para in general education classrooms, working with students across grades K-5 to support inclusive practices. The contract runs through May 2027, with daily hours from 8:15 AM to approximately 3:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch break). Paraprofessionals should be at ease supporting students with behavioral needs and open to assisting with toileting tasks if required.

Key Qualifications:

Current and active Illinois Paraprofessional License Experience working in an educational setting, ideally with diverse elementary-age students Ability and willingness to work with all grade levels (Kindergarten through 5th grade) Comfort addressing behavioral challenges and supporting functional student needs Clear criminal background check (candidates with hits cannot be considered) Reliable onsite attendance
