Concord Recreation is seeking energetic, enthusiastic, part time staff who enjoy leading children in fun recreational activities while providing quality care Afterschool and Early Release Wednesday Programs. This position is ideal for a high school student or college student or anyone wanting to spend time with children in a fun and exciting setting. The Assistant Group Leader works under the supervision of the Group Leaders and Site Coordinators and is responsible for the nurturing and development of each child enrolled. Staff that are hired to work in the Concord Recreation School Age Childcare Programs will have access to ongoing training, competitive compensation a free Beede Swim and Fitness Center membership, free childcare for age eligible children and special discount rates for employee's children. This is a 10-month school year position following the Concord Public School calendar from late August until mid-June (excludes school vacation weeks, professional days and holidays).

Work Schedule:

Flexible schedule during program hours, 3:00 - 6:00 PM Mon to Fri, 12:00 - 6:00 PM Wed Salary range: $16.00 to $18.50 per hour ; starting pay based on qualifications. This is an hourly, part-time position. Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled. Appointment of the final candidate will be contingent upon the results of pre-placement conditions including a Background Records Check and Fingerprinting, CORI/SORI checks.
