Perform the duties of a general education teacher in accordance with the policies and procedures of the assigned school district. Duties may include, but are not limited to, planning, designing, and implementing an appropriate instructional program in an environment that guides and encourages a diverse group of students at all levels to develop and fulfill their academic potential. Specifically, the teacher designs learning experiences, monitors student progress and presents that information to parents, develops assessments, creates and reinforces classroom expectations, works with school administration to prepare students for a variety of assessments, and manages and supports students outside the classroom, such as in school hallways, on field trips, and during extracurricular activities. Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
• Holds or is eligible for a teaching license, with the appropriate grade-level and/or subject-area endorsement.
• Demonstrates knowledge of subject content, curriculum, and methodology of effective teaching.
• Skilled in the use of multimedia and computer technology to enhance learning.
• Able to establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, administrators, and parents.
• Demonstrates skill in oral and written communication and excellent human relations skills.
