In this role, you will design and facilitate fun, educational activities and also provide help with homework. The children in this classroom range from Kindergarten to Fifth grade. This is a part-time position working 20 hours a week from the hours of 2-6pm, Monday through Friday. A qualifying criminal background is needed. Duties Supervise children during afterschool hours, ensuring their safety and well-being through attentive child supervision and behavior management. Plan, organize, and lead engaging youth group activities, including arts and crafts, outdoor games, educational lessons Maintain a clean and organized classroom. Implement classroom management strategies to create a respectful and inclusive environment. Administer basic first aid and CPR when necessary, following established protocols to ensure children's health and safety. Maintain open communication with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and any incidents. Provide help with homework. Experience Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare centers, camps, or youth programs is highly preferred. Demonstrated skills in classroom management, behavior management, and child supervision. Knowledge of childhood development principles and experience facilitating youth group activities or recreational programs a plus.
