A Middle or High School Teacher teaches middle school students, usually in grades 6 - 12, in a public or private school. Teaches one subject, or a group of subjects, such as math and science; works with one class all year or teaches different classes of students throughout the day. May mentor students, coach a school team or advise a student club. May specialize in working with students learning English or students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Our Assistant Group Leaders help create a safe, engaging, and positive environment where children can continue learning, building friendships, and having fun beyond the school day.

Part-Time, Non-Exempt What You'll Do Assistant Group Leaders support the planning and implementation of engaging activities while helping children develop socially, emotionally, physically, and academically.
Responsibilities include:
Welcome children and families and help create a positive program environment Assist with communicating information and concerns to families as assigned Support daily activities including homework help, group activities, indoor/outdoor play, and enrichment opportunities Provide active supervision to ensure children's health and safety Assist with classroom activities, materials preparation, and meal/snack routines Assist with observing children and documenting participation and development Support children with bathroom and personal care routines as needed Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom space Qualifications Required CPR and First Aid Certification Availability Monday-Friday, every day of the program schedule Ability to work collaboratively with children, families, and team members Preferred High school diploma or equivalent One year of experience working with children Knowledge of school-age child development and positive guidance practices Professional Development Employees must complete a minimum of 12 hours of relevant annual training, including topics related to child development, safety, curriculum, and quality childcare practices. Work Environment This position works in a school-age classroom setting and includes indoor and outdoor activities. Employees may be required to attend occasional evening or weekend agency activities or events.
