Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and passionate After School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will foster a positive learning environment, engage students in meaningful educational experiences, and support their academic and personal growth. This role requires a commitment to nurturing young minds and promoting a love for learning. We are a biblical based childcare center where we teach children from the bible. Duties Develop and engage in activities that align with curriculum standards and cater to the diverse needs of students. Utilize effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive after school environment. Provide individualized support to students, including tutoring and special education assistance as needed. Create engaging activities that promote early childhood education principles and encourage student participation. Collaborate with parents, staff, and community members to enhance the educational experience for all students. Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices. Ensure the safety and well-being of all students by adhering to first aid protocols and emergency procedures. Qualifications Extensive Afterschool experience or CDA is preferred. Experience working with students in an educational setting is highly desirable. Knowledge of behavior management techniques and early childhood education principles. Experience in tutoring or providing one-on-one support to children is beneficial. Background in bible study teaching or similar approaches is an asset. First aid certification is mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is required. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
