ASP will begin at Randolph Elementary School on Monday, 8/31/26. Duties Supervise children during after school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Lead and facilitate diverse activities including arts and crafts, sports, and outdoor games. Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to first aid protocols, CPR procedures, AED operation guidelines, and emergency response procedures. Collaborate with team members to plan engaging programs that foster youth development and social skills. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns that arise during program hours. Experience Prior experience working with children in educational settings such as daycare, summer camps, or youth programs is highly preferred. Familiarity with VT childcare licensing regulations preferred. 9-hour VT Orientation training through Better Kid Care and VT online mandated reporter training required. Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, or willingness to obtain these certifications upon hire. Experience facilitating youth group activities or teaching young children in sports coaching, theater arts, tutoring or similar environments is advantageous. Background in early childhood education or childhood development is a plus. Ability to work outdoors comfortably during outdoor activities year round. Candidates who are hired for this position must be record checked and fingerprinted twice; once with the Agency of Education and once with the Child Development Division. Fingerprinting can be done at the Randolph Police Station.
