Deliver interactive and age-appropriate robotics classes to elementary school students Guide students through project based learning curriculum assisting where necessary Inspire creativity and problem solving by encouraging students to think critically, solve problems, and express their creativity through coding and robotics projects Encourage students with a positive, upbeat, can-do mindset Be proactive to keep kids motivated and excited about activities while maintaining a positive and engaging classroom environment that promotes learning and collaboration Attend staff meetings, perform setup, clean up, student sign-in and sign-out tasks as needed, and follow all Blaze and school policies and procedures for student safety Be a role model for students by displaying an inclusive, cheerful, and responsible attitudeQUALIFICATIONS
Experience teaching or assisting children in K-8 through STEM activities or currently pursuing a degree in computer science, engineering, education or a related field Comfortable working in a classroom environment A passion for teaching and inspiring young students to explore the world of STEM and robotics is ideal VEX Robotics experience is a plus but not required Strong problem-solving skills to work with students and school staff in a dynamic environment Willingness to perform all job duties with enthusiasm and a positive outlook Friendly, patient, and sensitive to the needs of a diverse student population Able to work reliably on the schedule agreed upon Completion of a background check as required by school policies Availability preferred during business hours: weekdays 3:00-8:00 PM and weekends 9:00 AM-8:00 PM Work Location Bothell and surrounding areas Bellevue •CPT/OPT sponsorship is available for eligible candidates. •This position could lead to a full-time position within our year-round robotics program.
