Music Instructor, Multi-Instrumentalist (Piano, Violin, Guitar, Bass, Drums, DJ & More), Bach to Roc ARR Musicals LLC Carlsbad, CA Job Details Temporary | Part-time $20 - $26 an hour 20 hours ago Benefits Paid sick time Qualifications Music Teamwork Bachelor's degree Working with students Teaching Full Job Description Music Instructor, Multi-Instrumentalist (Piano, Violin, Guitar, Bass, Drums, DJ & More), Bach to Rock Carlsbad Bach to Rock (B2R) Carlsbad is seeking an energetic, engaging, and passionate Multi-Instrumentalist Music Instructor to teach students of all ages in one or more of the following instruments: Piano, Violin, Guitar, Bass, Drums, DJ, Voice, and other instruments as applicable. This is an exciting part-time opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who enjoys working with children, teens, and adults while inspiring a lifelong love of music in a fun and supportive learning environment. At Bach to Rock, we believe students learn best by playing music they know and love. Our instructors combine music theory, technique, creativity, performance, and recording experiences to help students become confident musicians. About Bach to Rock Bach to Rock is America's music school for students of all ages. We offer private lessons, group classes, ensembles, camps, recording experiences, and live performances in a modern, collaborative environment that encourages creativity and musical growth. Position Responsibilities Music Instruction Teach engaging private and group lessons for students of varying ages and skill levels. Develop individualized lesson plans based on each student's goals and abilities. Teach music theory, technique, improvisation, and performance skills using the Bach to Rock curriculum. Encourage creativity through songwriting, recording, ensemble participation, and live performance. Prepare students for recitals, showcases, and community performances. Track student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents. Student Experience Create a positive, motivating, and inclusive learning environment. Build strong relationships with students and their families. Inspire students to develop confidence, discipline, and a lifelong appreciation for music. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and goals. Collaboration & School Support Work closely with the School Director to ensure exceptional student experience. Collaborate with fellow instructors on band programs, camps, workshops, and performances. Participate in faculty meetings and professional development opportunities. Assist with school events, student showcases, open houses, and seasonal camps. Community Engagement Represent Bach to Rock at community events, festivals, and school outreach programs. Support student recruitment by participating in demonstrations and promotional events. Help foster a vibrant musical community within the school. Qualifications Proficiency in teaching one or more instruments, including Piano, Violin, Guitar, Bass, Drums, DJ, Voice, or related instruments. Previous teaching, coaching, or mentoring experience preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for music education and working with students of all ages. Reliable, professional, and organized. Ability to work evenings and weekends. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Music, Music Education, or related field (or equivalent professional experience). Experience teaching multiple instruments. Experience directing ensembles, bands, or group classes. Performance and recording experience. Familiarity with music technology or recording software is a plus.
