Job Description
Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide high quality private and group lessons in our retail store. You'll personalize instruction for students of all ages, prepare them for performances and school programs, and support rentals and accessory recommendations that fit their needs. Collaborate with store staff and school service reps to grow lesson enrollment and promote events. You'll track student progress, communicate with parents and educators, and maintain accurate schedules and records in a friendly, student focused, and community oriented environment. Responsibilities Provide private and group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels Customize lesson plans and curriculum to individual student goals and school needs Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school ensemble performances Communicate progress regularly with parents, guardians, and educators Support instrument rentals, sales, and accessory recommendations in the store Maintain accurate schedules, attendance records, and student notes Collaborate with store staff to promote lessons, recitals, and community events Uphold a safe, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment in lesson spaces Required Skills Music instruction Lesson planning Music theory knowledge Instrument proficiency Classroom management Student assessment Parent communication Scheduling software Retail customer service Basic sales support
