The Music Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality music instruction that fosters student creativity, appreciation for the arts, and academic growth. This role supports the school's mission by creating an engaging, inclusive, and structured learning environment where all students can develop musical skills and confidence.YOUR CLASSROOM, YOUR IMPACT
What You'll Do Plan and deliver engaging music lessons aligned with state standards and school curriculum Teach fundamental music concepts, including rhythm, melody, harmony, and performance Incorporate vocal and/or instrumental instruction appropriate to grade level Plan and coordinate student performances (e.g., concerts, showcases, school events) Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs and learning styles Integrate music with other academic subjects when appropriate Establish a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment Encourage student participation, creativity, and self-expression Maintain high expectations for student behavior and performance Build strong relationships with students to support engagement and growth Work With Others Participate in professional development and staff meetings Collaborate with colleagues to support student achievement Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration Uphold school policies, procedures, and expectations Professional Expectations Support FAST's mission, vision, and values Complete required training, certifications, and professional learning Follow school policies and demonstrate professionalism and flexibility What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Music Education or related field (required) Valid teaching certification (required) Experience teaching music in a school setting (required) Experience teaching music tech (required) Strong classroom management and instructional skills Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced charter school environment Fulton Academy of Science & Technology is an equal opportunity employer.
