The incoming teacher would teach grades kindergarten through fifth grade, utilizing the lessons and curriculum provided by the current music teacher on leave. Experience as a previous music educator, as well as knowledge of the Lower School developmental ages, are top priorities in this search. Additionally, this short-term leave will be responsible for planning a one-hour Lower School Holiday performance in December. While a bachelor's degree is required, a master's degree in education is preferred. Candidates should have three or more years of teaching experience. Additionally, we seek candidates with an interest in working in a highly collaborative team environment and who demonstrate keen insight into the development of their students as individuals and learners. Ideal candidates will have a track record of being passionate advocates for their students, effective classroom managers, and cultivators of the 'growth mindset.'
