Job Description

Become part of a dynamic school environment as a Music Teacher for grades K-2, with a rewarding full-time, onsite position beginning August 17 and continuing through May 27, 2027. You'll introduce young learners to the world of music, nurturing creativity and fostering a lifelong appreciation for the arts. This contract opportunity calls for a dedicated educator who will inspire students and craft engaging lessons tailored to early elementary grades.
Qualifications & Desired Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Education or a closely related field Valid Illinois Professional Educator License with appropriate music endorsement(s) Demonstrated experience designing and implementing music curriculum for young students Skilled in communicating effectively with children, parents, and colleagues Ability to plan engaging lessons and adapt instruction for diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
Teach general music classes to kindergarten through second grade students Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state and district music standards Inspire a love for music through creative instruction, hands-on activities, and performances Assess student progress and provide appropriate feedback Collaborate with general education staff to integrate music learning campus-wide Participate in school events, staff meetings, and occasional evening performances
