Overview We are seeking an energetic and passionate Drum Instructor to inspire and cultivate rhythm skills across diverse age groups and skill levels. In this role, you will lead engaging drum lessons, develop customized curricula, and foster a positive learning environment that encourages creativity and musical growth. Duties Design and implement comprehensive drum curricula tailored to students' ages, skill levels, and interests, incorporating various styles and techniques. Conduct dynamic individual and group lessons that promote active participation, technical proficiency, and musical expression. Manage classroom environments effectively, maintaining discipline, encouraging collaboration, and ensuring safety during all sessions. Assess student progress regularly through performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement. Organize performances, recitals, or showcases to give students opportunities to demonstrate their progress and build confidence. Maintain detailed lesson plans, attendance records, and student progress reports in accordance with organizational standards. Requirements Proven experience in teaching percussion instruments, especially drums, with a strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning. Demonstrated classroom management skills that foster a positive learning environment for children and adults alike. Experience working with children, early childhood education knowledge, or preschool experience is highly desirable. Ability to adapt teaching methods for students with special educational needs or behavioral challenges. Knowledge of various artistic disciplines such as ballet, theater, dancing, or culinary arts to create interdisciplinary lessons is a plus. Strong communication skills to engage students of all ages and backgrounds effectively. Familiarity with childhood development principles and best practices in childcare or preschool settings.
