The ideal candidate is comfortable teaching students of all ages and skill levels, with most lessons geared toward kids and beginner to intermediate musicians. In addition to private lessons, this instructor may also have opportunities to assist with group programs (such as beginner bands and adult groups), helping students collaborate, build confidence, and experience making music together. Multi-instrumentalists are always a plus, and gigging or performing experience is especially desirable. Prior teaching experience is not required, but experience working with kids is a huge advantage. If you enjoy helping students build confidence, develop their skills, and discover their musical voice, we'd love to meet you! A background check is part of the job. A fancy resume is not necessary. Workdays are Monday through Friday afternoons/evenings, and Saturday mornings/afternoons.
