Job Description

Saint Andrew Catholic School is seeking a dedicated and passionate part time Band Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year, teaching basic music theory and introducing students (Grades 4
  • 8) to traditional band instruments. The work schedule would be Tuesday and Thursday mornings. The hours are 7:45 a.m.
  • 11:45 a.m. with student contact time from 8:00 a.m.
  • 11:30 a.
m., along with appropriate prep time. As a Catholic school committed to academic excellence and faith formation, we are looking for an educator who will inspire children to deepen their faith and grow academically. The candidate must support student learning through developmentally appropriate educational activities and lessons, assessments and hands-on experiences. He or she will create an inviting and meaningful learning environment. The teacher will work in partnership with other staff, families, and students and will communicate effectively with these groups.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the Band teacher, preparing instructional routines and lesson plans Communicate regularly with student families regarding student progress and needs Collaborate with other teachers for planning and curriculum alignment Develop engaging lesson plans that meet academic standards and promote critical thinking, integrating Catholic values into lessons Incorporate hands-on learning experiences in the classroom Create a positive and supportive learning environment Assess and monitor student progress through various evaluation methods Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success Participate in school events, professional development, and faith-based activities when appropriate in this part-time position.
