About Us Naji Piano School is a growing piano school based in Edina, Minnesota, serving students in Edina, Bloomington, Richfield, Minneapolis, and surrounding Twin Cities communities. We provide high-quality piano instruction in a positive, encouraging environment where students can build musical skills, confidence, and a lasting love for music. Position Overview We are seeking a skilled, dependable, and enthusiastic piano instructor for a part-time teaching opportunity . This position is open to piano teachers who are willing to travel to students' homes within an agreed service area or have their own suitable teaching space in the Twin Cities area. Having your own teaching location is a strong plus, but it is not required. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children and beginners and can adapt lessons to students of different ages, abilities, and musical interests. A degree in music, piano performance, music education, or a related field is preferred but not required. Applicants without a music degree who demonstrate strong musicianship and teaching ability are also encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Teach engaging private piano lessons, primarily in 30-minute sessions. Adapt lessons to each student's age, ability, learning style, and goals. Help students develop technique, note reading, rhythm, musicianship, and confidence. Create a welcoming environment that keeps students encouraged and motivated. Communicate professionally with students, families, and the school. Arrive prepared and on time, and respond promptly to school communications. Prepare students for recitals and other performance opportunities when appropriate. Required Qualifications Strong piano-playing skills and the ability to explain musical concepts clearly. Patience and enthusiasm for working with children and beginner students. A dependable, punctual, and professional approach to teaching. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adapt your teaching approach to each student. Reliable transportation if teaching in students' homes. Teachers providing in-home lessons must be comfortable traveling within the service areas they agree to cover. Preferred Qualifications A degree in music, piano performance, music education, or a related field. At least one year of piano teaching experience. Experience working with children or beginner students. Formal training or coursework in piano pedagogy. Previous private-lesson, music-school, or studio teaching experience. Your own suitable piano teaching space in the Twin Cities area. You do not need to meet every preferred qualification to apply.
