Job Description

We're seeking a creative and enthusiastic music teacher to share the joy of music with our 1st through 6th grade students! This part-time role is perfect for someone who loves working with children and is passionate about helping them explore rhythm, melody, movement, and musical expression in a hands-on, engaging way. ​The right candidate will: Enjoy working with children ages 6-12 and appreciate their energy, curiosity, and creativity Activities or teaching music (formally or informally) toelementary-aged students Be confident planning lessons that include music theory, appreciation, and performance Be collaborative, organized, and excited to work as part of a larger educational team Bring a playful, encouraging, and student-centered approach to the classroom​​ In this role, you'll: Design and lead weekly music lessons for mixed-age groups (1st-3rd and 4th-6th grades) Incorporate a variety of musical experiences—singing, rhythm games, movement, instruments, and listening Support a culture of curiosity and creativity through the arts Collaborate with classroom teachers to complement the broader curriculum when appropriate ​
Schedule, Compensation & Benefits:
9-10 hours per week during the school year (4 afternoons) $22 - $25 per hour DOE Summers, holidays, and school breaks off Potential to combine this role with other part-time positions and/or subbing at our school for additional hours ​
