Overview Join our vibrant educational Resurrection Catholic School community as a Part-Time Music Teacher, where your passion for music and dedication to student development will inspire young learners to discover their musical interests. This paid position is ideal for educators eager to make a meaningful impact while balancing other commitments. Duties Develop and deliver engaging music lessons tailored to students' in grades 3-8. Music history to be included in lessons. Classes are held on Mondays (grades 6-8) and Fridays (grades 3-5) Incorporate various learning technologies and multimedia tools to enhance classroom instruction and student engagement. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques, creating a safe and inclusive learning environment. Assess student performance regularly using formative and summative assessments; analyze performance data to inform instruction and support individual growth. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, cross curricula projects. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for improvement; foster strong home-school connections. Skills Proven experience in classroom teaching of music within elementary or primary school settings; familiarity with private school is a plus. Strong knowledge of music curriculum development, implementation, and assessment aligned with educational regulations. Proficiency in using Google Classroom, Chromebooks and other learning technology platforms to facilitate instruction and track student progress. Expertise in working with children from diverse cultural backgrounds and adapting lessons to accommodate different learning styles. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, students, parents, and support staff. Ability to manage classroom dynamics efficiently while fostering a positive learning atmosphere focused on creativity and growth. Knowledge of literacy education, math integration in music lessons, standardized testing preparation, and instructional modifications for varied learners.
