Join Our Team! In Tune is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Guitar Teacher to join our growing music school. We're looking for someone who is passionate about helping students discover their unique voice, build confidence, and develop strong vocal technique in a fun, supportive learning environment.

This is a part-time W-2 employee position with a consistent weekly teaching schedule. We are looking for a teacher with weekday after-school and Saturday availability. Located in the heart of Maplewood, NJ, we proudly serve families throughout Maplewood, South Orange, Millburn, West Orange, and the surrounding communities. We offer private lessons and group classes for students of all ages and skill levels, with an emphasis on building meaningful relationships between teachers, students, and families.

Our lessons are structured, engaging, and fun, helping students develop strong musical foundations while achieving their individual goals. We believe everyone is musical, and everyone can learn to sing. Position Overview Teach private guitar lessons to students of varying ages and experience levels in 30, 45, and 60 minute lesson formats.

Our students enjoy exploring a wide variety of musical styles, including pop, musical theatre, rock, jazz, folk, and classical music. The ideal candidate is comfortable helping students develop music fundamentals, guitar technique while encouraging artistic expression, confidence, and strong performance skillsYou'll have the opportunity to develop long-term relationships with your students while helping them grow as singers, musicians, and confident performers. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Music, Guitar Performance, Music Education, or equivalent professional experience preferred Previous guitar teaching experience with students of varying ages and abilities Ability to teach a variety of musical styles, including pop, musical theatre, and contemporary repertoire Ability to teach additional instruments a plus e.g. bass or piano Excellent lesson planning, communication, and organizational skills Positive, patient, and encouraging teaching style Ability to build strong relationships with students and their families Commitment to tracking student progress and communicating regularly with parents about their child's musical development A collaborative attitude and enthusiasm for contributing to In Tune's supportive teaching community Weekday after-school and Saturday availability Availability to participate in student recitals and school events, particularly our annual recitals in May and June Schedule and Compensation Part-time W-2 employee position Teaching schedule: 2 to 3 days, after school and Saturdays Minimum of approximately 8 to 10 hours per week, with opportunities for additional teaching hours as enrollment grows Hourly pay: $35-$45 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Benefits Consistent schedule, tailored to your availability W-2 employment that includes sick leave
