Piano and Voice Teacher Opus School of the Arts Camas, WA Job Details Part-time $28 - $35 an hour 3 hours ago Qualifications Music Teamwork Piano Working with students Piano Teaching Full Job Description Are you interested in making a difference in students' lives? Join us in growing artistic spirits! Our vibrant arts school is looking to hire qualified voice and piano teachers to teach our aspiring voice and beginning piano students at our Camas and Ridgefield, WA studios. We have immediate openings with students in the schedule.
Compensation :
Commensurate with experience, $28 -$35 with possible monthly stipend/incentives for a leadership role.
Teaching style:
We are specifically looking for teachers who share a philosophy of student-oriented and discovery learning styles. We provide curricula for piano, voice and glee singers to support our students' progress and your teaching.
Minimum Qualifications :
Candidates should have a music degree with a piano or voice focus Teaching experience Be a lifelong learner and have a collaborative spirit
Preferred Qualifications :
Multi-instrumentalist Active in education, curriculum development Evidence of an ability to communicate well and possess a spirit for collaboration Knowledge of music production and performance practices
Essential Functions/Duties :
Teach private lessons and group classes to students in accordance with school policies, procedures, and practices Collaborate with other faculty on classes, concerts/performances (on or off campus), workshops, recruiting/outreach activities, clinics, and master classes Maintain current skills in teaching methods and course development as recommended by the director, and by attending training workshops Provide input and work with other faculty and staff to review, produce and/ or select related teaching materials Maintain student records and files as requested Arrive on time for work, attend work regularly, and successfully complete the responsibilities of the position
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong command of technology to support teaching Extensive knowledge of the subject area(s) in which the individual is responsible for instruction Strong communication and interpersonal skills Criminal background checks are required.
