Music Teacher Joyful Academy of Music | Everett, WA Part-Time | $20-$35 per hour Joyful Academy of Music is growing, and we are actively hiring more amazing music teachers to join our teaching team! We are excited to share that Joyful Academy of Music was recently named a Gold Winner in Best in the PNW! We are very thankful for our wonderful students, families, teachers, and team who have helped JAM continue to grow. Because of that growth, we already have students ready for new teachers to begin teaching. You will not need to find your own students or spend months building a teaching schedule. We are currently hiring teachers for: Piano Drums Violin Voice Guitar Bass Guitar Ukulele Teach more than one instrument? We would especially love to hear from you! Pay & Benefits $20-$35 per hour , based on teaching experience, instruments taught, and availability Paid sick leave Employee discounts Students already available for new teachers Administrative support with scheduling, billing, enrollment, and parent communication Curriculum, teaching resources, and training provided Opportunities to add additional teaching hours as JAM continues to grow About Joyful Academy of Music Joyful Academy of Music is a growing music school in Everett, Washington, serving students from young beginners through adults. Our goal is to make music lessons a positive and encouraging part of our students' lives. We want students to develop strong musical skills while also building confidence, having fun, and developing a lifelong love of music. We believe a great teacher can make a lasting difference in a student's life. We are looking for teachers who care about their students, enjoy celebrating their progress, and want to help make music lessons something students look forward to each week. We Are Actively Hiring This is not a position where you will need to build your own studio or find your own students. We already have students ready for additional teachers. As Joyful Academy of Music continues to grow, there may also be opportunities to add more teaching hours. We are also exploring the possibility of opening an additional JAM location in Bothell, Washington . If that location moves forward, there may be future opportunities for interested teachers to teach in Everett, Bothell, or potentially both. Teaching in Bothell would not be required for teachers applying to teach at our Everett location. We Would Love to
Meet You If You:
Love music and enjoy sharing it with others Enjoy working with children, teens, and/or adults Are positive, encouraging, patient, and dependable Want to help students feel successful and excited about music Can make lessons engaging and fun while helping students make progress Communicate well with students, families, and other team members Are willing to learn and grow as a teacher Enjoy being part of a supportive teaching team Have strong skills on the instrument or instruments you teach Previous teaching experience is a plus, but we are also open to talented musicians who have the musical ability, personality, and desire to grow into excellent teachers. Training and support are available.

Teach two or more instruments Have experience teaching children Enjoy working with beginning students Are comfortable teaching both individual and small-group lessons Have weekday afternoon or evening availability Are available on Saturdays Are interested in growing your teaching hours as JAM continues to grow What Teaching at JAM Is Like At JAM, our teachers can focus on what they do best: teaching and connecting with students. Our administrative team takes care of: Student enrollment Scheduling Tuition and billing Parent communication Lesson reminders Marketing and finding new students Showcase organization All of the behind-the-scenes details involved in running a music school We also provide curriculum, teaching resources, games, incentives, performance opportunities, training, and support. Our teachers work with students with a variety of personalities, ages, learning styles, and musical goals. We want our teachers to get to know their students and help each student experience success. Performance Opportunities JAM students have opportunities throughout the year to participate in performances and Showcases. We love giving students opportunities to build confidence, celebrate what they are learning, and share their music with family and friends. Teachers help prepare students for these special events and celebrate their accomplishments along the way. Our Teaching Team We want Joyful Academy of Music to be a place where teachers enjoy coming to work and feel like they are part of a team. Our teachers share ideas, help one another, continue learning, and work together to create a wonderful experience for JAM students and families. If you love music, enjoy encouraging students, and would like to teach without having to find your own students, handle billing, or run your own studio, JAM may be a great fit for you. Schedule Most teaching hours are during weekday afternoons and evenings and on Saturdays. We are especially interested in teachers who have consistent weekly availability. Because we already have students ready for additional teachers, we are looking for applicants who are available to begin teaching soon.
