Our school setting and approach are different from a traditional school. We are looking for caring, patient, and dependable professionals who genuinely enjoy working with children, want to make a meaningful difference in a student's life, and are willing to think outside the box, work creatively, and collaborate as part of a supportive team. We are looking for someone who cares about students, is patient and supportive, and wants to be part of a team that works differently. The right person is willing to be flexible, think creatively, and help each student succeed in a way that is meaningful for that individual child. The teacher will provide individualized or small-group APE services based on students' IEP goals and needs. Support motor development, coordination, balance, strength, body awareness, participation in physical activity, and other assigned APE goals. Collect meaningful data, monitor progress, and maintain required documentation. Participate in IEP/student-team meetings as needed and collaborate with teachers, OT, and other providers. Adapt activities creatively so students with different abilities can participate successfully. Formal district assessments are not a core focus of this position.
