Job Description
Position Summary and Attributes:
LakePoint is seeking individuals who want to play a key role in providing excellent guest experience through our Program and Activities department. We are seeking a team member that is responsible for implementing, teaching, coordinating and carrying out activities through our twice-weekly Home School PE Program.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of activities for Home School PE classes. This would include tasks including but not limited to setup, supervision, and breakdown
- Organize, lead, and instruct a variety of indoor and outdoor activities for each class
- Resolve problems that may arise in a proactive and professional manner
- Ensure site cleanliness and organization
- Communicate with Director and other team members
- Know, enforce, and follow all safety guidelines associated with the activity and all program areas that are involved
- Be enthusiastic and positive with guests and team members while maintaining high standards of health and safety for all.
Basic Qualifications and Experiences:
- High School Graduate or GED
- At least one year of higher education preferred
- Experience working with children in educational classes, youth camp programs, recreation, or other related fields.
- Complete First Aid and CPR certification (provided by LakePoint Sports upon hiring)
- Ability to lead, plan, organize and implement program activities
- Ability to work with a positive attitude
- Ability to work as a team member and accomplish tasks together
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to accept responsibility and exercise judgment
- Communicate and work with various ages and skill levels and interact with the public in an effective and courteous manner
- Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to the activity
