Job Description

Arlington Public Schools is hiring an after-school teacher at the Gibbs 6th Grade School. We are looking for a teacher to join our program. Physical education experience preferred. Our schedule has 2 PE periods a day and we want someone to both plan and lead PE activities for groups of students. There are other activities, including art projects, ping pong, pathfinders, board/card games, etc. that the teacher will help to run as well. We are interested in candidates who want to engage and participate with the students during PE and during other activities throughout the day. We work as a team and are looking for team players.
Other duties include:
General oversight of students Homework help Supervision of children in classroom, gym, art, outside and on occasional field trips General cleanup of areas used by after-school
Hours:
1:00pm - 6:00pm Mon - Fri Some additional hours for early release days and vacations Health and vacation benefits available Paid holidays

$21.50 - $26.70 per hour
