Category Schools - Adaptive Physical Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference every day by supporting students as an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher for a full-time contract assignment throughout the full academic year. Located in the Anoka, MN area, this engaging opportunity is ideal for educators passionate about creating inclusive environments and promoting physical activity for all learners. You will play a vital role in empowering students with a range of abilities, using creativity and compassion to modify instruction as needed and connect with each child. Work closely with school teams to design and implement adaptive PE curriculums that help each student reach their fullest potential. What you'll need to succeed: Valid and current Developmental/Adaptive Physical Education teaching license Previous experience teaching adaptive or special education physical education, or related field preferred Excellent communication and collaboration skills Understanding of various physical, sensory, and cognitive disabilities Ability to design and adapt lessons to varied learning abilities A positive attitude and genuine passion for helping students thrive Key responsibilities: Plan and deliver adaptive physical education instruction to K-12 students with diverse abilities Assess student progress and tailor lessons to meet IEP goals Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and support staff Maintain detailed documentation and progress notes Foster an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues Bring your expertise to a meaningful role where you'll see the difference your work makes in students' lives every day.
