Job Description

Step into a meaningful role supporting students as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic middle school setting. This full-time contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact while collaborating within a supportive co-teaching environment focused on ASD Math. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through June 10, 2027offering stability and the chance to develop lasting relationships with students and staff.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Minnesota Special Education teaching certification; Tier 3 or Tier 4 credentials preferred Experience or strong interest in co-teaching, especially in ASD Math at the middle school level Deep understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs), differentiation strategies, and best practices for supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Commitment to fostering an inclusive, encouraging learning environment
Essential Responsibilities:
Co-plan and deliver engaging math instruction to students with ASD in partnership with a general education teacher Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to student needs Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and data-driven decision making Provide behavioral support and contribute to a positive classroom climate Maintain detailed records and communicate progress with families and staff Participate in ongoing professional development and school-based meetings This is a full-time opportunity (37.5 hours per week), ideal for educators excited about creating engaging learning experiences and building rapport with students over a multi-year assignment.
