Qualifications:

Valid Minnesota Developmental Adapted Physical Education license Previous professional experience in a school setting required Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and adaptive techniques Effective communication skills with students, staff, and families Ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary educational team Commitment to creating a safe, encouraging, and inclusive environment

Responsibilities:

Design and deliver adaptive physical education instruction to a diverse K-12 caseload Assess individual abilities and collaborate on IEP development and reporting Modify curriculum and activities to meet varied student needs and abilities Track progress, document goals, and communicate updates to stakeholders Partner closely with special education staff, classroom teachers, and paraprofessionals Foster a positive environment that celebrates student achievement and personal growth
