Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Physical Education Teacher to inspire students to develop a lifelong love for movement, health, and wellness. In addition, certification as a drivers education teacher is preferred. In this role, you will create engaging physical education programs that promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy habits across various age groups. Your enthusiasm and expertise will motivate students to participate actively, improve their motor skills, and understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape young minds through dynamic instruction, fostering confidence and teamwork in a supportive environment. Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive physical education curricula tailored to different age groups, including early childhood, preschool, and elementary levels. Develop innovative lesson plans that incorporate learning technology and instructional design principles to enhance student engagement. Assess student progress regularly through observations, assessments, and feedback to ensure developmental milestones are met. Manage classroom behavior effectively using conflict management strategies and positive reinforcement techniques. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and specialists to support students' overall development and academic advising related to health and wellness. Maintain a safe environment by supervising activities closely and enforcing classroom management policies. Experience Prior classroom experience teaching physical education or related subjects in a school setting is essential. Demonstrated ability to work with children of various ages, including toddlers, preschoolers, and early learners. Experience integrating learning technology tools such as LMS (Learning Management System) platforms into lesson planning. Knowledge of childhood development principles, Montessori methods, or preschool education enhances teaching effectiveness. Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is highly desirable. Strong communication skills for effective instruction, behavioral management, and collaboration with colleagues and families.
Pay:
$56,698.00 - $79,907.00 per year
