Infants through Pre-K We are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Education Director to lead the daily operations, educational quality, enrollment, compliance, and staff development of a growing childcare and learning center. The ideal candidate is a strong, organized leader who understands both the educational and business sides of Early Childhood Education . Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee daily center operations, staff, classrooms, and educational quality. Maintain compliance with Connecticut OEC licensing requirements and applicable health and safety regulations. Support NAEYC accreditation and continuous quality improvement . Maintain enrollment at or near full operational capacity by actively managing inquiries, tours, registrations, waitlists, follow-ups, family retention, and community outreach. Use different enrollment and registration tools and strategies to generate new enrollments and quickly fill available spaces. Monitor enrollment trends, classroom vacancies, transitions, and retention. Recruit, supervise, coach, and develop teachers and staff. Manage staffing schedules, classroom coverage, ratios, and performance expectations. Oversee curriculum implementation, lesson planning, child observations, assessments, and documentation. Manage or support grants, funded programs, reporting requirements, and program deliverables . Maintain strong relationships with families and community partners. Ensure readiness for licensing visits, audits, inspections, and program monitoring. Collaborate with executive leadership on enrollment, staffing, compliance, budgets, quality, and center performance. Qualifications Minimum 1 year of Director-level experience in Early Childhood Education. Strong Early Childhood Education leadership and administration experience. Knowledge of Connecticut OEC regulations and licensing requirements . Experience with NAEYC standards and/or the accreditation process . Experience with grants, funded programs, or Early Childhood Education initiatives. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team. Experience with enrollment, family retention, and community outreach. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Must have:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field; Connecticut OEC Director qualifications; experience with Care 4 Kids, CACFP, Early Start CT, CT ELDS, and publicly funded programs.
