Head of Early Learning School Full-Time - Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM We are seeking an experienced Early Learning / Childhood Education Leader for our Head of School Opportunity in Wilmington, Delaware (19802) The Head of School will lead the strategy, growth, and delivery of high-quality early childhood programs. This leader will oversee a pre-K Montessori program as well as a Montessori-inspired infant and toddler program, ensuring children receive a strong foundation for learning and development. This position works as part of a collaborative leadership team focused on program quality, staff development, effective operations, and creating a welcoming and engaging environment for children and families. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor curriculum that reflects Montessori principles, child development best practices, and applicable early childhood standards.
• Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality, developmentally appropriate programming across early childhood classrooms.
• Recruit, train, supervise, coach, and support teachers, program staff, interns, and volunteers.
• Build strong partnerships with families and connect parents and guardians with appropriate community resources and services.
• Ensure compliance with state licensing requirements, regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and organizational policies.
• Oversee budgets, grants, contracts, and other resources related to early childhood programming.
• Establish and maintain effective partnerships with schools, businesses, agencies, and community organizations.
• Represent the early childhood program at community events, meetings, public forums, and other external engagements.
• Monitor program performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement strategies to strengthen quality and outcomes.
• Support a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture among staff. Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, Educational Leadership, or a related field required, consistent with applicable state Early Childhood Administrator requirements.
• Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE) credential preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership or management experience in early childhood education or programming
• Experience leading early childhood teachers, classrooms, or multi-classroom programs.
• Montessori teaching or administrative experience preferred. Certification Requirements
• Current First Aid/CPR certification or ability to obtain within 60 days.
• State Early Childhood Administrator credential/certification or ability to obtain within 60 days. Skills & Abilities
• Strong knowledge of child development, early childhood education, and Montessori-influenced practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, supervise, coach, and develop early childhood staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families, staff, and community partners.
• Strategic and solution-oriented approach to program development and continuous improvement.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable with data tracking, reporting, scheduling, and program management software.
• Commitment to culturally responsive, inclusive, and equitable learning environments.
• Ability to work collaboratively while providing clear direction and accountability.

Supervisory Responsibility This position has direct supervisory responsibility for early childhood program staff.

Pay:

$90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
