Site Director Reports To:
Director of Programs Position Summary The Site Director is responsible for the overall leadership and daily operation of the assigned early childhood education center, including staff supervision, program quality, enrollment, family engagement, compliance, safety, and financial stewardship. The Site Director ensures the center operates in accordance with Fun Time Academy policies, DCF requirements, accreditation standards, and applicable regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leadership and Center Operations Provide daily leadership and oversight of center operations. Conduct daily staff check-ins and ensure adequate classroom coverage. Manage controllable expenses, including overtime and supplies. Ensure safe and compliant drop-off, pick-up, sanitation, allergy, and emergency procedures. Review and submit daily attendance and meal counts, when applicable. Complete required administrative tasks and ensure ELC reports and documentation are submitted on time. Maintain accurate employee files, including training records, evaluations, corrective actions, and policy acknowledgements. Ensure compliance with DCF licensing, accreditation, Health Department, fire, and other applicable requirements. Prepare the center for regulatory and accreditation inspections. Conduct regular health and safety checks and address concerns promptly. Monitor enrollment and waitlists and work with the Director of Programs to maintain enrollment at or above 90%. Ensure required student enrollment documentation is collected and current in Procare. Conduct regular facility walk-throughs and coordinate maintenance and repair needs. Ensure the center remains clean, safe, organized, and welcoming. Curriculum and Program Quality Conduct weekly classroom walk-throughs to monitor learning environments and teaching practices. Collaborate with Curriculum Coaches and Director of Education to assess teacher performance and identify professional development needs. Support implementation of curriculum and instructional expectations. Identify opportunities to improve classroom quality and student outcomes. Participate in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education and program standards. Support accreditation and continuous quality improvement efforts. Staff Leadership and Supervision Supervise, support, and develop center staff. Conduct monthly staff meetings and communicate important updates, expectations, and upcoming activities. Ensure employee timecards are accurate, approved, and corrected as needed. Review and respond to PTO requests in accordance with company policy. Provide guidance regarding company policies, procedures, and employee questions. Address performance, attendance, conduct, and staffing concerns promptly and appropriately. Communicate significant employee concerns to the Director of Programs and/or Human Resources. Maintain confidentiality and promote a professional, respectful, and positive workplace culture. Family Communication and Support Maintain a welcoming presence during arrival and dismissal. Respond to parent and family inquiries within one business day. Monitor student immunizations and required documentation and communicate upcoming deadlines to families. Communicate center activities, events, schedules, and important notices to families. Provide opportunities for families to participate in their child's learning at least quarterly. Build positive partnerships with families through open, respectful, and professional communication. Address family concerns promptly and collaborate with appropriate departments to resolve issues. Professionalism and Accountability Complete assignments, reports, projects, and information requests accurately and on time. Return calls and emails within one business day. Promptly report operational, staffing, safety, compliance, or other significant concerns to the Director of Programs. Develop an appropriate action plan to address identified problems and follow through to resolution. Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, sound judgment, and ethical conduct. Maintain confidentiality of employee, child, and family information. Collaborate effectively with the Director of Programs, corporate office, center staff, families, and community partners. Follow all Fun Time Academy policies, procedures, and handbooks. Identify problems, recommend solutions, and take initiative to improve center operations. Maintain accountability for the overall performance, safety, compliance, and quality of the assigned site.
