Job Description

At EarlyDay, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Center Director / Preschool Director to lead a high-quality early childhood education program in Camp Springs, MD. This is a great opportunity for an early childhood leader with experience managing a licensed childcare, preschool, or Head Start program. The Center Director will oversee daily operations, support teachers and staff, ensure licensing compliance, and help create a safe, nurturing environment for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.
Center Director Responsibilities:
Oversee daily childcare center operations, including staffing, scheduling, compliance, and program quality Lead, coach, and support teachers and center staff Build strong relationships with families, children, staff, and community partners Ensure compliance with Maryland childcare licensing requirements, Head Start standards, and health/safety policies Maintain licensing, compliance, and center documentation Support center operations, emergency procedures, and facility-related needs
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or related field required Minimum 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a childcare, preschool, Head Start, or similar early childhood education setting required Professional teaching experience working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children required Maryland State Department of Education Early Childhood Education Certification required Must meet Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care requirements Make a difference in early childhood education in Camp Springs — apply today.
